Windrose Damage Calculator & Weapon DPS Simulator

Updated for Patch v1.0 (Launch)
Last Check: May 12, 2026

Calculate exact weapon damage, stat scaling, armor mitigation, and time-to-kill for all 8 Windrose weapons. Model Elixir bonuses, crit chance, and 2pc/4pc armor set interactions.

How Windrose Damage Scaling Works

Windrose uses a Soulslike letter-grade scaling system (D through S) to determine how much bonus damage your weapon receives from your primary attribute. A Saber (Agility, B-scaling) deals measurably less bonus damage per Agility point invested than a Greatsword (Agility, A-scaling), even though both weapons scale from the same stat. Our calculator models this precisely, showing you the exact damage contribution from your stat investment.

The practical implication: always match your stat investment to your weapon's scaling stat. Splitting your 45 available stat points across Strength, Agility, AND Precision will leave you with a "jack of all trades" character that loses to a specialist at every encounter. Our tool makes the math visible so you can plan before you commit.

Understanding Your Results

1

Base Damage / Hit

Raw weapon damage before any bonuses. This is your floor β€” everything else is multiplicative on top.

2

Avg Damage w/ Crit

Your expected average damage per swing when factoring in your Mastery-derived crit chance and crit damage bonus.

3

Effective Damage

Final damage after the target's armor damage reduction is applied. This is the number that actually depletes enemy HP.

4

Time to Kill (TTK)

Estimated seconds to eliminate the target at the selected HP, based on weapon type swing speed (1.1s light / 1.5s 2H melee / 2.5s ranged).

Buff Stacking & Armor Set Interactions

Elixirs from the Alchemy Table provide a flat damage multiplier that layers on top of your base stat scaling. The Elixir of Cruelty (+8% all damage) and Elixir of Firm Hand (+10% melee damage) are the primary offensive buffs. Our calculator lets you toggle these in real-time to see exactly how much they extend your effective TTK against different HP pools.

Armor damage reduction (DR) from enemy armor sets is equally important in PvP. A player in full Conquistador's Armor with a 2pc bonus (+15% DR) absorbs a significant portion of your incoming damage. Knowing your effective output against armored targets helps you decide whether to stack more raw damage or invest in the Toughguy talent tree's Outnumbered passive for anti-armor pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the strongest weapon in Windrose?+
The Musket has the highest raw per-hit damage (130 base) with A-scaling from Precision. For melee, the Greatsword and Halberd (both 105-110 base, A-scaling) are top-tier for burst and crowd control.
Do one-handed weapons deal less damage?+
Yes β€” 1H weapons (Saber, Rapier, Club, Pistol) have lower base damage than 2H weapons. However, 1H weapons allow an off-hand Pistol, giving you ranged versatility without weapon swapping.
How much does Mastery matter?+
At 0.5% crit chance per point, 10 Mastery = 5% crit. Against enemies with 1000 HP, this provides meaningful DPS over time. Privateer armor further boosts crit damage, making Mastery hybrid builds viable.
Does the Elixir of Cruelty stack with armor set bonuses?+
Yes. The +8% damage from the Elixir of Cruelty is multiplicative with Flibustier 4pc (+15% 1H damage) and other bonuses, all stacking independently.

Methodology & Data Integrity

All calculations are based on verified data extracted from Windrose Patch v1.0 (Launch) game files. We cross-reference values with in-game testing to ensure 99.9% accuracy for competitive play.

⚑ Windrose v1.0 Launch Combat Meta

Community testing confirms Muskets (Precision, A-scaling) have the highest burst TTK at range, while Halberds (Strength, A-scaling) dominate extended melee fights via stagger locks.

The Fencer + Saber off-hand Pistol combo remains the most versatile early-game build due to the independent off-hand slot providing ranged options without a 2H commitment.
