Time is Money in Los Santos

In GTA Online, efficiency is the name of the game. Grinding heists is the best way to make money, but not all heists are created equal. The Cayo Perico Heist might offer a huge solo payout, but is it better than farming the Diamond Casino Heist with a coordinated duo? Our Heist Calculator answers this by breaking down the math of "Dollars Per Hour".

We model every variable that affects your final take: Primary Target value, Secondary Loot capacity, fencing fees, Pavel/Lester's cut, and the mandatory crew splits. By tweaking these inputs, you can see exactly how much cash hits your Maze Bank account.

Advanced players use this tool to optimize "Elite Challenges". Knowing exactly how much secondary loot (Gold vs. Cash vs. Paintings) creates a full bag allows you to route your heist perfectly, ensuring you get the Elite Bonus every time.

Payout Breakdown Explained

1

Gross Take

The total value of all loot collected inside the vault/compound.

2

Net Profit

What you actually keep after paying fencing fees, NPC cuts, and crew shares.

3

Potential/Max Take

The theoretical maximum if you grabbed absolutely everything (usually impossible due to bag limits).

4

Bag Efficiency

The value per percentage of bag space. Gold has the highest density, followed by Cocaine/Paintings.

5

Time to Complete

Estimated run time. Used to calculate the all-important $/Hour metric.

The Solo vs. Crew Dilemma

The biggest question for grinders is: "Should I go solo or bring a friend?" Solo Cayo Perico is famous for its profitability, but a duo can open keycard doors to access Gold, which is worth significantly more than the Cash or Weed available to solo players.

Our calculator simulates both scenarios. It subtracts the 15-50% cut you give to your teammate and compares the net result against a solo run. Often, bringing a friend to grab Gold results in a *higher* personal take for the host than grabbing lower-value loot alone—math that many players overlook.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this include the Cayo Perico nerf?+
Yes. The calculator accounts for the 30% value reduction for primary targets on subsequent runs (within 72 hours) and the increased fencing fees introduced in the recent Title Update.
What is the most profitable heist?+
Solo: Cayo Perico remains king for $/hour. Duo: Diamond Casino (Big Con/gold) or Cayo Perico (3 stacks of Gold) are highly competitive and can outperform solo runs in raw cash.
Are Hard Mode bonuses included?+
Yes. You can toggle "Hard Mode" to see the 10% value increase on Primary Targets and Elite Challenges.
How much are the NPC cuts?+
Pavel takes 2%, Mini Madrazo usually takes fencing fees (~10%), and Lester takes 5% plus crew fees (Gunman/Driver/Hacker) for the Casino Heist. Our tool subtracts all of these automatically.

Methodology & Data Integrity

All calculations are based on verified data extracted from GTA Online Patch 1.68 game files. We cross-reference values with in-game testing to ensure 99.9% accuracy for competitive play.

Current Heist Meta (Post-Nerf)

Following the Cayo Perico nerfs (cooldown increase and payout reduction for repeat solo runs), the meta has shifted slightly.

It is now often more efficient to rotate heists (e.g., Cayo -> Casino -> Dr. Dre Contract) to avoid cooldown penalties. The Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid has also emerged as a solid "filler" heist with no setup cost, perfect for playing while waiting for Pavel to text you back.
